What Can’t I Buy With Food Stamps at Speedway?

How Do I Purchase Food at Speedway With Food Stamps?

As a recipient of your state’s food stamps program, you will be issued an EBT card preloaded with a specific amount of money each month for qualifying food items. The amount of money will load on the same day each month and is ready to use immediately. 

When shopping at Speedway, keep your eye out for SNAP-approved items on the price tag or remember the simple rules of the grocery items that are eligible for purchase. When it’s time to check out, simply swipe your EBT card at the card reader, and it will deduct the amount from your balance. 

How Do I Purchase EBT-Ineligible Items? 

Understandably, you might need to pick up several things when shopping at a Speedway. You may need to purchase something other than food items, but you can quickly check out your food stamps-approved items and your other items. 

Here is a quick rundown of what to do when you must purchase food and non-food items at Speedway: 

• Scan all things together – Have the Speedway cashier scan everything together, including your food and non-food items
• Swipe your EBT card – Once the Speedway cashier has scanned all your things, swipe your EBT card through the card reader first. The computer will deduct the cost of all your qualifying food items to be charged to your EBT card. 
• Pay the balance – The remaining balance for your non-qualifying items will need to be paid with cash, a debit, or a credit card of your choice. Pay only that amount using your preferred method. 

Do All Speedway Locations Take Food Stamps, SNAP, and EBT?

Suppose you have a Speedway location near you or come across one on a road trip. In that case, don’t worry about whether the convenience store accepts food stamps, SNAP, or EBT, because all Speedway locations nationwide accept food stamps.
