How does 5G work?
5G networks are built in 3 different ways from multiple bands of wavelength spectrum: high-band, mid-band and low-band.
High- band millimeter wave frequencies have greater bandwidth but require cell sites to be in close proximity and have limited penetration of buildings. They carry more data in dense urban areas. Mid-band balances range and speed and is less impacted by buildings, providing broader coverage than high-band. Low band travels farther than the other bands providing a stronger signal and better coverage both outdoor and indoors, passing through more obstacles.
